What do you enjoy most about working at Ostrom?

I really enjoy being part of a team that’s working on something meaningful—helping make energy smarter and greener. It’s great to work with people who are passionate about building a strong product and making a real impact.

Plus, the team is super friendly, and there’s always someone willing to help if you need it.

How would you describe the team culture and ways of working?

The culture at Ostrom is open and supportive. Everyone is happy to share their knowledge and help each other, no matter the team. It’s a place where people learn and grow together, and where collaboration is key.

What’s been your most exciting or meaningful project so far?

There have been a lot of interesting projects, but the most exciting for me has been being part of the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) launch. Seeing an idea turn into a real product that improves the way energy is used has been really rewarding.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining Ostrom?

Be ready to take initiative! Ostrom is a great place for people who like to get things done and think creatively. If you enjoy solving problems and working in a fast-paced environment, you'll feel right at home here. The more you get involved, the more you can do, and there are plenty of opportunities for you to contribute as well as broaden your horizons and try new things.

It also helps to have some interest in the energy market in Germany, but you don’t need to be an expert. Being curious and open to learning is more important.

How does Ostrom support your growth and development?

Ostrom encourages growth in a very natural way. We’re always learning—whether it’s by working on new challenges, getting advice from more experienced colleagues, or taking time for courses and workshops.

Learning at Ostrom isn't just a nice-to-have, it's actually encouraged. If you want to develop new skills, there's always room for it, and you can even block off work-time to do so.
